About the Trenton Track club

Trenton Track Club is a non-profit community, track program in Mercer County New Jersey. The club was founded in 1973 in Trenton, New Jersey by Head Coach King Jennings. Since then, Trenton Track Club has attracted some of the area’s finest track and field athletes. Our club welcomes any athlete who is interested in learning and being committed member. Under the leadership of our coaches, our club has produced many AAU, TAC, USATF, State, Regional, and National Champions along with an Olympic Gold Medalist.
Our Club philosophy, “Running is a way of Life,” is incorporated into our training program. For most of our athletes, track is an integral part of their lives and helps shape their identity. Our youth training and development program helps build respectful, confident, responsible and social minded young athletes. Trenton Track Club’s training program is designed to build an appreciation of the benefits of track and field. Our practices focus on a fundamental training routine and running techniques. Emphasis is placed on the concept of team and working together as a unit. Individual objectives are set for each athlete to build self-esteem, the confidence to compete and the execution of track and field techniques. We teach our athletes to respect their opponents, but never to underestimate them. We offer a variety of training and competitive opportunities throughout the year. Outdoor: April-August Cross-Country: September-November Indoor: November-March To accomplish all of this, we rely on the generosity of individuals and business for support. There is no donation too small to help us toward molding our future generations. |
